Solutions Architect – Project Lead

This position will play a crucial role in developing, enhancing, and deploying action items that align with the organization’s goals and objectives. This hybrid position will collaborate with and serve all departments and key stakeholders to optimize business functions and technology resources and systems.
This position is 100% on-site.
Essential Functions:
Understand and help business owners create business cases by making sure all high-level requirements are listed in the project scope
Liaison between business units and IT resources to align the demands and critical priorities between these two groups
Coordinate with vendors/providers of software solutions
Conduct cost-benefit analyses to justify the feasibility of proposed solutions Gather, validate, analyze, document, and prioritize requirements from key stakeholders and SMEs
Validate by cross-referencing requirements with other stakeholders, to achieve consensus before the solution is built
Document by creating user stories and breaking them down into functional and non-functional requirements
Maintain and update documentation at regular intervals Recommend workarounds, value additions, and remove solution bottlenecks for stakeholders
Aid in development and testing of the solution
Prepare end-user documentation
Provide/coordinate training and support as needed
Competencies:
Technical and business domain knowledge
Transportation industry or HR/PayrolI or Accounting knowledge
Basic knowledge of databases and query tools (MS SQL) and IT infrastructures
Data integration – SSIS and Web API
Reporting tools – SSRS and Power BI
Microsoft Office applications including Access and Visio
EDI knowledge is a plus
Knowledge of technology project risks and strategies for managing/mitigating them
Knowledge of system development life cycle, data transformations, and testing strategies
Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving and analytical thinking
Adept at business process documentation and presenting findings
Self-motivated and directed
Strong customer service orientation Detail oriented
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience:
5-10 years of related work experience
